West End Village Fete
The sun shone during this year's Village Fete, where the Pre-School theme was 'People of the Village'. The children looked wonderful in their fancy dress outfits, representing a variety of people of the village. A fun procession on our decorated float, went through the village, starting at Fellow Green and finishing at the recreation ground.
All the sweetie jars donated by parents and sold on the staff stall helped to contribute to the money we raised from the event.
Pre-School was turned into a cinema one Friday evening when we held a movie night for the children. Popcorn was nibbled on and cushions and bean bags were relaxed on!
The children loved watching Room on the Broom with their friends and playing party games during this special evening.
For the first time, the event was held in the Pre-School garden.
The setting was turned into a magical winter wonderland and Santa made a lot of children very happy. Mulled wine, hot chocolate, tea coffee and a lot of cakes were enjoyed by all that visited.
Thank you to everyone that donated items to the event. We raised a fantastic amount of money.
Art and Soul Ceramics
Art & Soul Ceramics visited the preschool and brought along some ceramic decorations for the children to paint. The children developed their artistic and creative sides with some wonderful creations to take home!
On Friday 16th December the children performed Our First Nativity. The children did amazingly and looked fabulous in their costumes. It was clear that the staff had put a lot of work into making the show a great success - thanks to all involved.
We had great support from parents and friends and raised a fantastic amount for the Pre-School.
We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day! The children took part in a number of team races, including racing to collect puzzle pieces, dribbling a ball, throwing bean bags and carrying a plate of jelly!
Gordon's School pupils came to help at the event, some of them having attended our Pre-School themselves.
Afterwards, the chilren all received medals and enjoyed a celebratory picnic with their friends on the green.
As an end of term treat, the rangers from Zoolab came to visit visit Pre-School with some very special guests such as African land snails, snakes, scorpions, tarantulas...and many more.
The children loved the hands on experience of all the creepy crawlies!
West End Fete
Tringham Pre-School children joined the parade with their colourful float. A variety of groups took part in the parade and we were pleased to bring home an award!
The children dressed up as playing cards and a very fun afternoon was had by all!
